For years, i have been seeing recipes for date balls or bars, and that i’ve constantly concept how perfect they could be for Iftar, the small meal eaten to interrupt the quick at some stage in Ramadan (the Islamic holy month of fasting).

Dates are eaten all through Iftar as they are a nutrient-dense source of fiber and assist regulate your blood sugar after the day of fasting. I often slit the dates open, do away with the pits and update them with multiple almonds. Almonds are filling and add a few essential nutty crunch to offset the sweet and chewy dates.

those strength bars take the same concept and enhance it with…chocolate! some thing is higher with chocolate, proper?

Fasting or not, those chocolate power bars are the right choose-me-up. They’re brief and smooth to make, uncooked, vegan, gluten-unfastened, customizable, enjoyable, nourishing, happiness-inducing and chocolatey
